Ray Wise is the Chief Procurement Officer of the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) in Boston, Massachusetts. In his role, he leads procurement operations, strategic sourcing, and warehousing/supply chain in support of the one of the nation's largest public transit systems. He joined the MBTA in 2018, initially as Sr. Director for Procurement Operations. Ray started his career in various supply chain roles at durable goods and consumer product companies, worked for Deloitte Consulting to help clients improve business processes and implement new technology, then became a product manager at a small procurement-focused software company. Following that, Ray led global procurement at a leading contact center company, and immediately prior to joining the MBTA, he was responsible for procure-to-pay, treasury operations, and payroll at a global business process outsourcing company. Ray earned a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame and an MS in Management from Purdue University.
