Denise Diaz

Managing Director, National Procurement Teach For America

Denise Diaz is the National Managing Director of Procurement at Teach For America and is charged with implementing procurement strategy, driving process improvements, establishing procurement related policies and procedures and aligning the organizational goals with internal stakeholder requirements. 

Ms. Diaz was promoted to this role in 2018, after serving as the Procurement Director for the Information Technology team at Teach For America for five years prior. During her time in that position Ms. Diaz demonstrated a strong track record of executing from vision to strategy, managing strategic, cross-functional projects and partnering with all management levels to achieve successful results. 

During her time at Teach For America, Ms. Diaz has also served as a member of the Latinx Advisory Board and helps to ensure that the organizations commitment to diversity, equity and inclusiveness are at the core of the decisions being made with regards to organizational spend and supplier relationships. 

Prior to joining Teach For America, Ms. Diaz worked for a number of for profit and non-profit organizations both in Procurement and in Finance and has well over fifteen years of collective experience in these areas.

Ms. Diaz holds a MBA and a certification in Non-profit Management from Suny Empire State University and is a certified Purchasing Professional.
