Aleck Matambo is a global procurement, AI, and transformation executive with leadership experience spanning Google, McKinsey & Company, Dell Technologies, and Mercedes-Benz. Throughout his career, he has led large-scale enterprise transformation initiatives that reposition procurement from a traditional cost function into a strategic driver of innovation, resilience, growth, and competitive advantage.
Most recently, Aleck served as Senior Director in Global Procurement at Google, where he combined procurement leadership with AI strategy, helping pioneer AI-enabled approaches to procurement transformation, supplier partnerships, and enterprise value creation. Prior to Google, as Vice President of Indirect Procurement at Dell, he led global procurement operations across a multi-billion-dollar spend portfolio and drove large-scale transformation, sustainability, and operational resilience initiatives.
Earlier in his career, Aleck served as an Associate Partner at McKinsey & Company, where he advised Fortune 500 organizations on procurement strategy, operations transformation, digital enablement, and enterprise value creation.
A recognized keynote speaker on AI, procurement, and transformation, Aleck is known for his pragmatic and forward-looking perspectives on how emerging technologies are reshaping procurement and enterprise operating models. He is passionate about building high-performance global teams, future-ready supplier ecosystems, and AI-enabled organizations that balance efficiency with resilience and innovation.
Aleck also serves on the Advisory Board of ProcureCon and on the Board of Directors for Metropolitan Family Services in Chicago, supporting initiatives that create long-term impact for families and communities.
